Weird Beard, Saison 14
Batch 0162, 6% abv. Good saison character with ripe orange. Very good, very drinkable, nice to have it in a pint glass.

Kernel, Imperial Brown Stout - Tormore and Port Dundas BA
Is this a blend? I'm assuming Tormore (single malt) and Port Dundas (now owned by Diageo apparently) are separate entities...
Served cold. Whiskey nose, big whiskey taste: scotch (banana) and some wood. Surprisingly sweet for a Kernel stout. Finish is a massive whiskey dryness well mixed with hop bitterness (signature Kernel impy).
Sambrooks, Imperial Stout
A relatively clear looking pour, low carbonation, minimal nose. Sweet taste: licorice (sp?), coffee. Even sweeter thereafter, but never cloyingly so. Medium to low bitterness which was a disappointment. A decent London impy, all the more so because it can be bought directly from the brewery (a stone's throw from Clapham Junction) for a fantastic £2.75.
Tap East, Imperial Coffee in the Morning
Weird Beard Co, Sadako
Love a wax seal me! Mushrooms and coffe on the nose, medium to high carbonation, taste is sweet, coffee, some roast. Cream soda? Minimal hop profile. Medium bitterness in the finish, some honey also. Ardbeg BA version waiting.

Brixton, Megawatt
Drank this last December. Spicy local DIPA in a fancy bottle. The magpie in me snapped this up before the rational me (seldom seen) knew what the fuck was going on.

Strong Beer
The Yang was insanely bitter but was otherwise rubbish (because, I suspect, it was not at all fresh). Rip Tide (dated branding!) was brill as was Tsar (although it had this weird minty/root beery thing going on I think). Tickle Monster was great, but a little too flat, maybe a little too sweet and had bloody enormous lumps of yeast in it. Wyoming Sheep Ranch is easily the pick of this bunch. Had it few times over the years, keg at the Old Red Cow and a couple of bottles too. When fresh, it's an instabag. Can't find my bottle shot for it though :/
